Officers

Chris Quilter, President, is a son of Susi Q. He edits the Boardwalk, is the agency’s webmaster and resides in Laguna Beach.

Carol Reynolds, First Vice-President, a human resources executive with the Montage, joined the board following the Hearts of Montage $350,000 challenge grant to the Susi Q.

Tina Haines, Second Vice-President, joined the board in September, 2009. She brings with her a wealth of business strategic planning experience that we need to achieve our long-range goals. She lives in Laguna Beach.

Darrcy Loveland Bickel, Secretary, was co-Chair of the Capital Campaign. She is a lawyer with Kaiser Permanente and lives in Laguna Beach.

Jim McBride, Treasurer, joined the board in 2007. He brought a wealth of nonprofit financial experience that has given our enterprise a solid fiscal foundation. He lives in Laguna Beach.

Members

Bob Arovas agreed to serve on the board early in 2010. He is a Laguna resident with extensive corporate experience and will play a key role in developing a new strategic plan for the agency.

Louise Buckley is a past-President and has been a passionate advocate for the construction of a modern senior center in the hometown she loves. She resides in Laguna Beach.

Pamela Horowitz joined the board in 2008 and is heading up our efforts to expand and strengthen our Advisory Board. She lives in Laguna.

Terri Johnson was elected to the board in mid-2007. She served on the capital campaign committee, twice chaired our annual Legacy Ball, and now chairs the Marketing Committee. She lives in Laguna Beach.

Vic Opincar joined the board in 2008. He continues to work on several City committees, and now heads our Fund Development Committee which is charged with developing and maintaining a long-term strategy for fiscal stability.

Ann Quilter joined the board prior to the Quilter family’s naming gift for the Susi Q Center. She has years of experience as a volunteer, co-Chaired the Capital Campaign, and lives in Laguna Beach.

Stuart Wilson, Ph.D., joined the board in 2005 and has become our agency historian in addition to being a valued advisor to several of our committees. He lives in Laguna Beach.
